International Transport Ministers visit global players the McCulloch Group

Award recognised global players the McCulloch Group have been visited by two international ministers responsible for transport and infrastructure this week during trade exhibition – Trako. Taking place in Gdansk, Poland, the Ayrshire founded rail infrastructure business are exhibiting as part of the ‘British Pavilion’ at the event. With the McCulloch Group having just been announced as shortlisted finalists in the coveted British Chamber of Commerce Awards, it is an exciting time for the thirty year old family business.
Trako is one of the largest rail industry meetings in central and eastern Europe, featuring exhibitors from across the globe sharing developments in transport and infrastructure systems. As a bi-annual show it includes both indoors and outdoors displays at AMBEREXPO.
During the second and third day of exhibiting, the McCulloch Group were visited by the UK Minister of State at the Department for Transport for Rail and HS2, Huw Merriman, and Republic of Poland Minister of Infrastructure, Andrzej Adamczyk. Both Merriman and Adamczyk met with McCulloch Group employees along with Inventor and Shareholder – Billy McCulloch. Billy who founded the business with twin brother Danny McCulloch in 1992 has led the businesses innovative invention processes to date.
The McCulloch Group who have received multiple commendations in recognition of both their domestic and international works – including Network Rail Gold Safety Awards, have over the last twenty-four months gone through a period of business transformation. Following the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman – David Girdler, along with the creation and appointment of an executive leadership team the business is building upon the strong foundations of this initial Princes Trust financed business.
